The Director of Development and Marketing leads Compass for Kids’ fundraising and marketing efforts, overseeing strategy, teams, and key relationships that support our mission and growth. This role requires a strong, experienced leader who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to balance big-picture vision with day-to-day execution. The Director works closely with staff, the Board of Directors, and community stakeholders to advance fundraising, communications, and brand awareness while ensuring accountability and results.

Program Assistant

Compass for Kids is excited to announce a new part-time position: Program Assistant.

This role supports our out-of-school-time programs by working directly with K–12 students and assisting with essential program operations. The Program Assistant helps ensure our programs run smoothly while supporting students’ academic, social-emotional, and leadership growth.

  • Weekday afternoon schedule during the school year

Mentor – Club Compass & Youth Leadership Development Program

Compass for Kids is hiring a part-time mentor to support students in our school-year programs, Club Compass and the Youth Leadership Development Program (YLDP). Mentors play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where students can learn, grow, and build confidence.

In this role, you’ll work directly with youth, support social-emotional learning activities, model positive behavior, and help ensure students have a high-quality program experience. Ideal candidates are dependable, flexible, and passionate about working with children and teens from underserved communities.

  • Part-time 12–15 hours per week
  • $15.50–$16.50/hour
  • Weekday afternoon schedule during the school year
  • Student-facing and program-supportive responsibilities
  • Opportunity to continue with Camp Compass in the summer
