The Director of Development and Marketing plays a vital leadership role in advancing the mission of Compass for Kids by guiding the organization’s fundraising, marketing, and communications efforts. This position is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives that strengthen community engagement, expand donor support, and elevate the Compass for Kids brand. The Director leads a team focused on philanthropy and outreach while building meaningful relationships with donors, partners, volunteers, and community leaders.

This role requires a highly organized, experienced leader who can think strategically while also managing the details that ensure strong day-to-day operations. Working closely with staff, the Board of Directors, and key stakeholders, the Director helps drive sustainable growth, increase visibility, and secure the resources needed to support the children and families we serve. Camp Counselor – Camp Compass 2026

☀️ We’re Hiring Summer Camp Counselors!

Compass for Kids is looking for passionate, energetic, and organized Camp Counselors to join our team for our summer learning program, Camp Compass, in Springfield, Illinois.

Camp Compass provides academic enrichment and social-emotional support for underserved children, and our counselors play a huge role in making summer fun, engaging, and meaningful for our campers.

  • 🗓️ Camp Dates: June 16 – July 17, 2026
  • ⏰ Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • 🚫 No camp on June 19 or July 3
