School Year Program Information
Club Compass is our school-year program for kids in Springfield Public Schools – District 186, grades K-5. We have both weekly and once-in-a-while opportunities available. Can you spare a few hours each week to support local children?
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Classroom Leader or Mentor
- Kitchen Helper

Enrichment sessions start at 4:40pm at our Club Compass locations. Whether you join us once or come back often, you’ll inspire and have fun with amazing kids! 💡💛

Family-Style Dinner
Share a meal, share your heart. Sign up to provide a Family Style Dinner at Club Compass and help create a warm, community-centered experience that the kids look forward to.
Club Compass has five sites that each meet one time weekly. Dinner for the Club kids starts at 5:15pm.
- Tuesday: Graham Elementary at Westminster Presbyterian Church
- Tuesday: Harvard Park Elementary at First Church of Brethren
- Wednesday: Black Hawk Elementary at South Side Christian Church
- Thursday: Dubois Elementary at Douglas Avenue United Methodist Church
- Thursday: McClernand Elementary at Third-Presbyterian Church
Delivery Drivers Needed!
We are looking for drivers to help us deliver the Backpack Feeding bags to our School Year Program sites each week. Here’s how it works: you would pick up the bags (already made up) from Douglas Avenue United Methodist Church in the afternoon and then deliver them to 1 or 2 of the churches that we have programs happening on that day. You could sign up on a weekly basis or take a shift here and there as your schedule allows.

Summer Program Information
Camp Compass
Camp Compass, our summer learning program, is open to volunteers ages 16 and older. Camp Compass is scheduled to take place in June and July at multiple elementary school locations in Springfield Public Schools – District 186.
Volunteer opportunities include:
- Classroom Aide (help with math and/or reading)
- Field Trip chaperone
- Enrichment Activity leader
