Van Fund 2025

At Compass for Kids we are committed to removing barriers so every child can thrive through programs that provide academic support, meals, social-emotional learning, and caring mentors. One of the most significant barriers that can limit access for many kids is transportation. Simply getting to and from the program safely and consistently can be a challenge, and often our current vans are at full capacity. Purchasing an additional van would ensure that Compass can safely transport the youths from school to their program site and provide a safe ride home at the end of the night. 

In addition, the vans give us the opportunity to provide field trips and enrichment activities that expand learning beyond the classroom and help kids explore the world around them. But, trying to coordinate rides to program sites in bad weather, rides to field trips, and rides home between 6 different school-year program sites that all happen at the same time needs more than 2 vehicles. 

Currently, Landmark Ford has a 15-passenger van that Compass can purchase, but we need to raise $25,636.70 more to do it! The total cost of the van is $41,861.70, and thanks to funds raised at the Asian Indian Women’s Organization’s India Night gala, we are already $16,225 toward the total cost! We need to raise the rest of the funds by December 31st!
