Club Compass Updates – May 2025
Club Compass 2024–25 School Year Wrap-Up: A Year of Growth, Discovery, and Gratitude
As another amazing school year wraps up at Club Compass, we want to take a moment to reflect on all the learning, growth, and memories made and to thank the incredible people and partners who made it all possible.
This year, our Club Compass kids explored the world around them through interactive enrichment, interesting field trips, and meaningful mentorship. Whether they were learning about animal care, building STEM projects, or practicing mindfulness, our students were exposed to a wide range of experiences that supported both their academic and personal development.
A Heartfelt Thank You
We are deeply grateful to our enrichment partners, who generously shared their time, knowledge, and talents throughout the year.
We also want to thank our generous dinner providers, whose support helped fuel learning with warm, nutritious meals each week.
To our dedicated volunteers, staff, and the amazing Compass families, thank you for showing up, supporting one another, and helping to create a safe, welcoming environment where kids can thrive.
And a special thank you and best wishes to Adaeze, Olivia, and Lynette for all your hard work and dedication. You made a lasting impact, and we wish you the best in your next adventures!
Adventures and Celebrations
This spring, our students had the opportunity to explore Springfield with a series of exciting field trips:
- At Lincoln Library, kids dove into books, enjoyed a scavenger hunt, and had storytime.
- At Adams Wildlife Sanctuary, they walked nature trails, learned about ecosystems, and spotted local wildlife.
- At the Dana-Thomas House, they stepped back in time to learn about architecture, history, and the legacy of Frank Lloyd Wright.
- At Papa John’s, kids made personal pizzas from scratch!

We wrapped up the school year with end-of-year parties at each of our five Club Compass sites. With glow-themed activities, sweet treats, crafts, and games, each celebration was a joyful send-off filled with laughter and fun.

We also gathered as one big Compass family for a Summer Send-Off Party at Lincoln Park, complete with a picnic, talent show, dancing, and family-friendly activities. It was a beautiful way to celebrate our community and kick off the summer together.
Thank You, COLE Project
We’re incredibly thankful to the COLE Project, who hosted monthly birthday parties throughout the year. These thoughtful celebrations brought smiles to so many faces and made every child feel seen and valued.
Looking Ahead
As we head into summer and look forward to Camp Compass: Passport to Adventure, we carry with us the energy and excitement of a wonderful school year. Thank you again to everyone who helped make Club Compass a success.
Here’s to more discovery, growth, and community in the months ahead!
